By far, 93 cargo trains have been running between northwest China's Lanzhou and Europe, and between Lanzhou and Asia, according to the Gansu division of Sinotrans Limited on October 21.
The cargo train service has greatly promoted foreign trade development of Gansu Province.
Statistics showed that 63 cargo trains have been sent from Lanzhou to Europe and to Asia during the first nine months of 2016, with the value of goods amounting to 108.463 million U.S. dollars.
The export goods include building materials, machinery equipment, home furnishings and drilling rig accessories.
Xia Hongmin, vice governor of Gansu Province, noted that the international cargo trains sent from Lanzhou have realized interconnection between China and the countries along the Belt and Road, which have deepened foreign trade among each other.
