Northwest China's Gansu Province will found a platform for technological cooperation with Muslim countries along the "Belt and Road" to better tech communication with the international community and opening-up from 2016. It intends to carry out the plan by way of the China muslim food industry technology innovation alliance and also mulls arranging implementation of the Ministry of Science and Technology-backed Sino-Pakistan agricultural biomass energy technology R D and demonstration center program.
As Li Wenqing, head of Gansu Provincial Sci. Tech Department introduces, these moves mirror Gansu's active efforts in participating in the "Belt and Road" construction and a batch of local research institutions have established stable partnerships with their counterparts in countries along the "Belt and Road" in central Asia, south Asia and southeast Asia, for cooperation in such fields as new energy including solar power, wind power and biomass, desert treatment and ecological protection and recovery, muslin food analysis, testing and processing techniques, water saving, highly efficient agricultural production technology and equipment.
