Guizhou unveils big health key projects, involving RMB500 bln investment

Southwest China's Guizhou Province lately unveiled 320 key projects in big health industry, involving total investment of 524.8 billion yuan.

This is expected to promote formation of whole industrial chain in big health industry in Guizhou.

According to the Guizhou provincial government, these 320 selected big health projects covers areas of healthy regimen, healthy medicine, healthy elderly care, healthy medical treatment, healthy sports, and healthy medicinal and food materials.

Meanwhile, there projects also involve combined medical treatment and regimen, combined health and tourism, big data medical services, and big data health management.

Implementation of these projects is expected to promote deep integration of big health, big data, big ecology, and big tourism and enhance the upgrading of big health industry.

In recent years, Guizhou has been vigorously boosting development of big health industry, targeting to cultivate it into a pillar industry in Guizhou.

According to statistics, added value of Guizhou's big health industry hiked more than 20 percent year on year to 45.534 billion yuan in the first half of 2016, contributing 9.2 percent to GDP of the province.

It created jobs for 724,100 peoples and contributed tax revenue of 2.012 billion yuan, said Zhang Ping, deputy head of Guizhou Development and Reform Commission and head of Guizhou Big Health Bureau.
