Local authorities are using big data to supervise medical products in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
A "smart supervision" platform went into effect Wednesday, incorporating big data, cloud computing and mobile internet to help develop the health industry, said the local medical products administration.
The platform has functions such as administrative approvals, credit management and medicine tracking.
Authorities will provide training for staff of the platform to better manage the industry, the administration said.
