China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced on Thursday it has suspended the automobile production qualification for 14 car makers.
The ministry publicized 48 car makers who were unable to maintain normal production and operation activities on Oct. 15, 2013. By Oct. 31, 2015, 12 enterprises among the 48 car makers had submitted applications, passed the re-entry tests, and had their qualification resumed by the MIIT; 22 had submitted applications and participated in the tests organized by the MIIT; and 14 had not submitted applications for tests and had their Announcement for Automobile Production Enterprise and Products suspended.
