Promoting the integration of charging network, telematics and Internet will help to ease the difficulty for new energy vehicles (NEV) industry to make profits, said Wang Binggang, an expert with the Ministry of Science and Technology, on Wednesday.
"China has become the largest NEV market in the world, but there had been only 49,000 public charging piles by the end of 2015," said Yang Jianbo, a researcher with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
Yu Dexiang, chairman of the Qingdao TGOOD Electric Co. (300001.SZ), noted that many enterprises in NEV charging industry suffer great losses, which has hampered the development of charging industry.
"In the era of 'Internet plus', charging network, telematics and Internet are highly complementary to each other. The integration of the three can help ease the difficulty for NEV industry to generate profits," said Wang, adding that the move will inject vigor into the NEV industry.
