China and ASEAN countries eye deeper cooperaiton on green and renewable energy, according to the China-ASEAN power cooperation forum held in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region's capital city of Nanning.
Power industy provided key support for China-ASEAN economic cooperation, said Yang Kun, vice president with China Electricity Council (CEC), noting that Chinese power enterprises realized 317 million US dollars of actual investments and inked over 4.6 billion US dollar worth of new construction contracts in ASEAN countries in 2015.
Cooperation between China and ASEAN countries on energy, especially clean energy, would be very promising, experts say, pointing out that the two sides' power resources and demands are quite diversified and complementary to each other.
