Shanghai reports 4 imported COVID-19 cases

SHANGHAI, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai reported four imported cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Tuesday, the municipal health commission said Wednesday.

All of them were Chinese citizens on the same flight from Russia.

A total of 76 people in close contact with the confirmed patients on the flight have been put under quarantine.

The municipal health commission said a total of 283 imported cases had been reported in Shanghai by Tuesday.

On Tuesday, no new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases were reported and 10 patients, seven of which were from the United States and three from Britain, were discharged from hospitals in Shanghai after recovery.

By Tuesday, the municipality has reported 339 locally transmitted confirmed cases, including seven deaths.
