China's National Energy Administration (NEA) announced the establishment of an electric vehicle charging infrastructure promotion alliance (EVCIPA) at a meeting on Monday afternoon.
The NEA's deputy head Zheng Shanjie said the alliance is aimed to boost construction of charging infrastructure for EVs in a bid to solve charging difficulties. That will play a significant role in encouraging people to start their own businesses and to make innovations, adding public products and public services, stabilizing economic growth, adjusting structure and improving living standards.
According to the Guidance on Boosting Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Construction publicized by the State Council recently, China will have built charging facilities that can satisfy the demands of over five million electric vehicles by 2020.
