China's industry and information technology minister Miao Wei said at a press conference on Thursday morning that 33 specialized plans for the implementation of Made in China 2025 initiative will be issued and carried out in 2016.
According to the minister, some of the 33 specialized plans will be publicized after being reviewed by the State Council, and some will be jointly issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and relevant ministries and commission. He said the MIIT will do works in three aspects for the implementation of Made in China 2025, according to the proposal for formulating the 13th Five-Year Plan issued by the Communist Party of China on Tuesday.
Firstly, the ministry will aim at the major development trend of new-round scientific and technical revolution and industrial transformation to well prepare for industry competitions in the future. Secondly, it will focus on major industries and areas and formulate plans and policies to boost their development. Lastly, the MIIT will improve the authority and guidance of its specific plans according to the principles of major project, major engineering and major policy.
