Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly issued a policy document on innovative development of graphene sector, said a release by the MIIT on Monday.
China aims to basically form industrial system on production, application, development and end-use of graphene by 2018. Product standards and technological criteria would be basically in place.
The country plans to develop over 100 applied technologies and samples, build a batch of demonstration projects and realize stable graphene production and commercial application with some industrial products and consumables.
By 2020, China is targeted to form sound graphene industry system, standardize graphene materials with low costs, build multiple innovation platforms and master a batch of core technologies with industrial use in multiple areas, China also plans to have several graphene enterprises with core competitiveness and build new-type industrial demonstration base.
