China's steel export is likely to exceed 100 million metric tons (tonnes) in 2015, after the first seven months saw 71.87 million tonnes of steel export, according to Wang Liqun, a vice chairman of China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
The steel export volume in January-July this year grew 26.5 percent on a year-on-year basis.
A steel export of 100 million tonnes consumes at least 106 million tonnes of crude steel in China, said analyst Wang Guoqing.
China's crude steel output is estimated to be between 830 million tonnes and 850 million tonnes this year.
