China produced 16.13 million tonnes of stainless crude steel in the first three quarters of 2015, up 0.68 percent year on year, China Special Steel Enterprises Association said on Wednesday.
In January-September, China imported stainless steel of 548,300 tonnes, down 15.26 percent on year, and exported 2.69 million tonnes, down 9.02 percent on year. The apparent consumption of stainless steel rose 2.24 percent on year to 12.05 million tonnes in January-September, when the country relies on domestic production for 95.45 percent of its demand for stainless steel.
