China will further enhance communication and strengthen cooperation with international steel industry associations to jointly safeguard international steel trade order and promote healthy development of the global steel industry, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced on Thursday.
The announcement came after the European and U.S. steel associations accused China of causing global excessive steels. The CISA called their accusations hasty and no contribution to the problem solving. In recent years, the Chinese government and enterprises were devoted to resolving the excessive steel capacity and their efforts and achievements were obvious to all.
Regarding problems in the steel trade, on the one hand, the Chinese steel enterprises have strengthened self-regulation and further standardized the export order. On the other hand, they have actively communicated with the global partners to resolve problems, said the CISA announcement.
