China's three basic telecom operators, China Mobile (CHL.NYSE; 00941.HK), China Unicom (CHU.NYSE; 00762.HK; 600050.SH) and China Telecom (CHA.NYSE; 00728.HK), each rolled out new 4G+ business at the PT/Expo COMN China 2015 on Wednesday.

At present, the highest network speed of 4G+ download carrier aggregation can reach 330M. With promotion of the 4G+ business, the country's mobile network speed will further increase.

By the end of August, China Mobile had 229 million 4G customers and more than 940,000 4G base stations, making it the largest 4G network in the world.

At the expo, China Mobile showed latest progress in 4G business including 4G+ (carrier aggregation), VoLTE and rich communication suit (RCS). Peak of its TD-LTE-A download carrier aggregation in theory can reach 330M, more than three times the current 4G network speed and representing the fastest 4G+ download speed to date.

Meanwhile, China Telecom also displayed its 4G+ technology with the peak of network download rate reaching 300Mbps and upload rate reaching 50Mbps.

At the expo, China Telecom tested network speed of its 4G+. It took only 5.3 seconds to download a 200MB video file via a mobile phone. In addition, China Unicom also released a white paper about the new generation network architecture, CUBE-Net 2.0 at the expo.

China Union is sparing no efforts to advance its 4G construction and build a competitive 4G network. The number of its 4G network base stations is expected to approach to 500,000 within the year, while that of its mobile communication network base stations is estimated to reach 1.6 million, said Lu Yimin, general manager of the company.
