China's electronics and IT manufacturing enterprises saw their profits total 292.5 billion yuan in the first eight months of 2015, up 14.9 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The profit margin was 4.3 percent in August, which was 0.4 percentage point higher than that for the year-earlier period.

In the first eight months of 2015, electronics and IT manufacturers generated 6,813.5 billion yuan of main operating revenues, up 7.8 percent year on year. Their main operating costs increased 7.3 percent year on year, however. The cost of every 100 yuan of main operating revenue was 88.8 yuan in the period, 0.5 yuan less than in the same period of 2014.
The proportion of enterprises running in the red was 23.1 percent in the period, up one percentage point from the year-earlier period but down 0.9 percentage points from that for the first nine months of this year.
