China's IC output grows 8 pct on yr in Jan.-Sept., to 80.07 bln units

China's electronics and IT manufacturing industry produced 80.07 billion units of integrated circuits (IC) in the first nine months of 2015, growing eight percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Meanwhile, the output of semiconductor discrete devices was 423.3 billion units, up 4.1 percent year on year. The industry's electronic devices business posted 1,234.7 billion yuan of sales value in the period, up 12.2 percent year on year.

The growth rate was 3.1 percentage points higher than that for the year-earlier period and 3.7 percentage points higher than the electronics and IT manufacturing industry's average. In a breakdown, the export delivery value was 736.5 billion yuan, up 7.6 percent year on year. The growth rate was four percentage points higher than that for the year-earlier period and 7.1 percentage points higher than the industry's average.

The domestic sales value was 498.2 billion yuan, up 19.8 percent year on year. The growth rate was 3.5 percentage points higher than the industry's average. The output of electronic components reached 2,531.21 billion units in the nine months, down 5.8 percent year on year.

The industry's electronic components business posted 1,301.9 billion yuan of sales value in the period, rising 7.6 percent year on year. The growth rate went down 2.4 percentage points year on year and was 0.9 percentage point lower than the industry's average.

Among the total sales, 461.7 billion yuan was contributed by exports, down 8.5 percent year on year; and 840.2 billion yuan was contributed by the domestic market, up 19.1 percent year on year.
