China's telecom industry recorded a net increase of 25.99 million 4G customers in October, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, the number of 3G customers posted a decrease of 8.48 million. In the first ten months of this year, the number of China's mobile broadband customers, including 3G customers and 4G customers, increased 165 million to 747 million in total.
The number of 3G customers decreased 66.33 million to 418.93 million, while that of 4G customers increased 231.09 million to 328.38 million. China's mobile phone user number added 1.95 million in October and 15.68 million in the first ten months, to about 1.3 billion in total.
The fixed phone user number decreased 14.42 million in the first ten months, to 235.01 million. The number of fixed-line broadband customers increased 11.48 million in the ten months, to 211.97 million in total.
