National Energy Administration (NEA) has recently fixed the first batch of 20 solar thermal power generation demonstration projects with the installed capacity totaling 1.349 million KW.
Those projects are located in provinces and autonomous regions such as Qinghai, Gansu, Hebei, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang.
The NEA requested that those demonstration projects complete filing before September 30, 2016 and kick off construction as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, local energy authorities are required to timely track those projects and report relevant situation to the NEA on a quarterly basis.
According to the NEA, those projects shall be completed and rolled out before the end of 2018.
In order to safeguard technical advancement and industrial development of the solar thermal power generation projects and avoid blind investments and low-level repeated construction, the solar thermal power generation projects will be included in the list of the national solar thermal power generation demonstration projects released by the NEA for unified management in the 13th Five-Year Plan period from 2016 to 2020.
Only those in the list can enjoy the government's electricity price subsidies, the NEA noted.
