The logistics performance index, which tracks business volume, new orders, employment, inventory turnovers and equipment utility rates in the sector, came in at 51.2 percent in February, up 0.1 percentage points from the previous month.
A reading above 50 percent indicates expansion while a reading below 50 reflects contraction.
The pickup in the index was mainly due to booming holiday consumption and the gradual implementation of fiscal and monetary policies, said He Hui, assistant president of the CFLP.
The sub-index for new orders came in at 50.2 percent, and the sub-index for business activity expectations stood at 59.7 percent. The figures indicate that the sector will maintain steady development in the near future, according to the federation.
