China's new bond offerings up RMB500 bln o-y to RMB2.6 trln in Oct.

China's new bond issues reached 2.6 trillion yuan in October, up about 500 billion yuan from a year ago and down 400 billion yuan from the preceding month, according to a financial market report released by the People's Bank of China (PBOC) on November 14.

In October, 2.3 trillion yuan of new bonds were issued. By the end of the month, the outstanding bonds in the market had amounted to 61.6 trillion yuan, of which the outstanding bonds of interbank market had reached 54.9 trillion yuan.

Spot bond turnover on the interbank market stood at 9.8 trillion yuan in October, with daily average up 26.5 percent year on year and 1.8 percent month on month.

China issued 246.55 billion yuan worth of T-bonds as well as 475.22 billion yuan of local government bonds in October.
