China's leading commercial vehicle producer Beiqi Foton (600166.SH) said Friday it sold 224,869 automobiles in January-May, down 22.48 percent year on year. The company's auto output in the first five months stood at 236,503 units, a fall of 17.68 percent year on year, according to the company's filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange. In May, Beiqi Foton's car sales and output were 43,688 units and 44,269 units, respectively.
