Sinopec Marketing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China's top oil refiner Sinopec Corp. (SNP.NYSE; 600028.SH; 0386.HK), has started to supply vegetables, bakery products and breakfast foods at some 1,000 gas stations in central China's Shanxi province, according to a report by Securities Daily.
Sinopec Marketing Co., Ltd. recently sealed a cooperation agreement with Bencao Agriculture Development Co., Ltd., a quality vegetable supplier in Shanxi province. Earlier, a gas station in south China's Shenzhen started to sell imported Kiwi fruit on trial basis. Sinopec Marketing Co. is tasked to expand its business coverage especially non-oil operations in order to improve profitability.
