China's weekly product oil price index inched up 0.75 percent to 642.36 in the week ending September 16, according to the Xinhua (Daqing) International Petroleum Information Center.
The average price of 93# gasoline increased 42 yuan per tonne (approximately 0.03 yuan per liter) to 6,412 yuan per tonne while the average price of 0# diesel grew 43 yuan per tonne (approximately 0.04 yuan per liter) to 5,427 yuan per tonne. Prices of gasoline and diesel inched up last week as the mild rebound of international crude oil prices lowered market expectations for domestic fuel price cuts.
However, the price increase was limited on weak demand, said Jiang Bin, an oil analyst with the Xinhua (Daqing) International Petroleum Information Center.
