China Sept. crude oil imports at 27.95 mln t, up 5.1 pct m o m

China imported 29.95 million tonnes of crude oil in September, up 5.11 percent from 26.59 million tonnes in August, according to data released by General Administration of Customs on Tuesday.

Monthly imports of product oil and LPG grew 16.9 percent and 8.7 percent to 2.7 million tonnes and 1.25 million tonnes, respectively. Meanwhile, imports of LPG declined 5.8 percent month on month to 2.42 million tonnes in September.

China imported 248.62 million tonnes of crude oil, 23.19 million tonnes of product oil and 22.86 million tonnes of LPG in the first three quarters of 2015, up 8.8 percent, 4.7 percent and 15 percent year on year, respectively.

Accumulative imports of fuel oil stood at 12.36 million tonnes in Jan.-Sept. down 7.9 percent year on year. China only exported 50,000 tonnes of crude oil in September in comparison with 220,000 tonnes in August. Still, monthly exports of product oil and fertilizer increased 14.1 percent and 28.6 percent to 3.55 million tonnes and 3.37 million tonnes, respectively.

In Jan.-Sept., China exported 2.29 million tonnes of crude oil, 24.45 million tonnes of product oil and 24.9 million tonnes of fertilizer, increasing 536.6 percent, 15 percent and 36.1 percent year on year, respectively.
