According to the EIA, U.S. crude oil production stayed the same as the previous week at 12.9 million barrels per day (b/d) last week, up by about 1.2 million b/d year-on-year.
In the EIA's latest Short-Term Energy Outlook released last month, the EIA forecast that U.S. crude oil production will average 13.2 million barrels per day in 2020, an increase of 0.9 million barrels per day from the 2019 level.
