The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 106 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday morning, largely in line with rates seen in New York overnight.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 106.07-08 yen compared with 106.04-14 in New York and 105.85-87 at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo. The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1211-1212 dollars and 118.92-93 yen against 1.1199-1209 dollars and 118.84-94 yen in New York and 1.1250-1252 dollars and 119.08-12 yen in late trade on Tuesday afternoon in Tokyo.
