The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 113 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely in line with its levels in London overnight.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 113.69-70 yen compared with 113.70-80 yen at 4 p.m. in London on Monday and 114.16-18 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo. Currency markets in the U.S. were closed for a national holiday.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1222-1223 dollars and 127.60-62 yen against 1.1245-1255 dollars and 127.95-128.00 yen in London and 1.1258-1260 dollars and 128.52-56 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
