Iron ore futures open higher

DALIAN, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Iron ore futures were higher Friday in early trading on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE).

The most active iron ore contract for September delivery gained 15.5 yuan (about 2.27 U.S. dollars) to open at 829 yuan per tonne.

As the world's largest importer of iron ore, China opened the DCE iron ore futures to international investors in May 2018.
