Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for March delivery increased 72 cents, or 0.97 percent, to settle at 75.09 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery gained 49 cents, or 0.62 percent, to settle at 80.04 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
