Tokyo shares skyrocketed by opening the trading Thursday with its benchmark Nikkei index briefly soaring over 400 points following strong rebound in the overnight U.S. stocks market. At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 327.53 points, or 1.78 percent, from Wednesday to 18,704.36. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 36.86 points, or 2.49 percent, to 1, 515.83.
