China's stock markets in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened mixed on Thursday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.64 percent lower at 3,131.98. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.20 percent lower at 1,680.00, The SME Price Index for small firms was down 0.33 percent to open at 6,645.49, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.88 percent higher at 1,943.29.
Stocks of software, Internet, public transport, logistics, computer, petroleum, medical care and telecom operation sectors led the gainers at the opening while those in shipbuilding, liquor brewing, securities brokerage, insurance, iron and steel and property sectors led the losers.
