Over 60pct of SME board-listed firms guide to make profit in Q1-Q3

All of the 767 companies listed on China's Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) board excepting one had guided Q1-Q3 financial results by Thursday, 62 percent of which predicted to make profits in the period, according to data from financial information provider Wind.

Among the profit-expected companies, 269 ones forecast to see a net rise of over 50 percent on a yearly basis in the first nine months of the year. Meanwhile, 288 SME-listed companies predicted to incur losses in the period, representing 37.6 percent of the total.

Among them, 258 companies expected to suffer a net loss of over 50 percent year on year. By sectors, companies in new energy, wind power and electric vehicles sectors saw sharp growth of profit in the first three quarters of the year thanks to improved industrial climate.
