China's stock indices in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened lower on Friday. The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.21 percent lower at 3,380.28. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.17 percent lower at 2,011.07, The SME Price Index for small firms was down 0.04 percent to open at 7,769.06, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.40 percent lower at 2,475.23.
Stocks of shipbuilding, aviation devices, public transport, mineral products, hotels, nonferrous metals, environmental protection, telecom equipment, tourism, and computer equipment sectors led the losers at Friday's opening, while, the leading gainers were in property, medical treatment, media and entertainment, electricity grid, medicines, and petroleum sectors.
