Stock indices tracking Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened tad higher on Thursday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.32 percent higher at 3,659.57.
The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.46 percent higher at 2,354.42.
The SME Price Index for small firms was up 0.54 percent to open at 8,801.56 and the ChiNext Index opened 0.49 percent higher at 2,911.85.
Stocks of insurance, logistics, internet, securities brokerage, environmental protection, property and software sectors led the gainers at the opening while those in aviation, agricultural, hotel and catering and semiconductor sectors led the losers.
