Stock indices tracking Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened tad lower on Monday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.29 percent lower at 3,568.58. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.18 percent lower at 2,331.31. The SME Price Index for small firms was down 0.05 percent to open at 8,474.49 and the ChiNext Index opened 0.17 percent lower at 2,825.31.
Stocks of mineral products, medical care, chemical fiber, iron and steel and pharmaceutical sectors led the gainers at the opening while those in papermaking, internet, computer, bank, logistics, insurance, environmental protection and automobile sectors led the losers.
