Share prices on the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened mixed on Monday. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.53 percent higher at 3,710.61. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.18 percent higher at 1,939.06.
The SME Price Index for small firms was up 0.23 percent to open at 7,895.35 and the ChiNext Index opened 0.19 percent lower at 2,319.31. Stocks of tourism, transportation facilities, banking, transport services, insurance, natural gas, steel, and property sectors led the gainers at Monday's opening, while, the leading losers were in telecom operation, mineral products, software services, computer equipment, media and entertainment, home appliances, and coal sectors.
