Chinese stocks opened higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.54 percent to open at 2,608.11 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.47 percent higher at 7,721.82 points.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was up 0.43 percent to open at 1,343.9 points Wednesday.
The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and the Shenzhen SME (small- and medium-sized enterprises) Board Index, are major indices reflecting the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
Hong Kong stocks gained 282.34 points, or 1.10 percent, to open at 26,054.01 points on Wednesday.
