Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.91 percent, at 2,804.23. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 2.36 percent higher at 8,651.20.
The combined turnover of stocks on the two indices stood at 622.21 billion yuan (about 92.66 billion U.S. dollars), up from 618.7 billion yuan the previous trading day.
Most shares gained, with losers outnumbering gainers 1,298 to 127 on the Shanghai bourse and 1,932 to 170 on the Shenzhen bourse.
The financial industry and electronic information industry were the strongest gainers. Shaanxi International Trust and Shanghai DZH Limited increased by the daily limit of 10 percent to close at 4.03 yuan per share and 5.35 yuan per share respectively.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board, gained 3.10 percent to close at 1,456.30.
