China's privately offered funds expand in July

BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- The total value of privately offered funds reached 13.42 trillion yuan (about 1.89 trillion U.S. dollars) at the end of July, industry association data showed.    

The figure was up 134.99 billion yuan, or 1.02 percent from a month earlier, according to the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC).    

The number of registered private funds rose 1.3 percent to 78,734 at the end of last month, the AMAC said.    

Some 24,332 securities, futures trading and venture capital institutions managed these funds as of the end of July, up 0.12 percent from a month earlier, AMAC data showed.    

Established in 2012, AMAC is a self-regulatory organization that represents the mutual fund industry of China.
