Vietnam's national index of industrial production in the first half of this year increased 6.2 percent year-on-year, according to the country's General Statistics Office on Friday.
Main driver of the growth, the processing and manufacturing sector, went up 10.5 percent, contributing 7.4 percentage points to the overall growth. However, inventory of this sector remained high, going up 10.2 percent.
Vietnam's industrial output growth rate year-on-year data is updated monthly, available from January 2013. It reached an all-time high of 29.6 percent in January 2013.
