German economic sentiment in July fell slightly compared with that of June, a survey by the ZEW think tank showed on Tuesday.
According to the survey, the assessment of Germany's current economic situation has decreased by 1.6 points to 86.4 points in July, but it still remains at a fairly high level.
"Our overall assessment of the economic development in Germany remains unchanged compared to the previous month," ZEW President Achim Wambach said in a statement.
"The outlook for the German economic growth in the coming six months continues to be positive," Wambach added.
The ZEW index is based on the results of a monthly survey of some 200 analysts and investors.
