JAKARTA, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's trade balance in November recorded the highest deficit in seven months as the decline in the import value exceeded the decrease in the export value.

The Central Bureau of Statistics on Monday announced that the country's trade gap touched 1.33 billion U.S. dollars in November, the widest since April.

The import value edged down 9.24 percent to 15.34 billion U.S. dollars in November on a 12 month basis and that of the export drifted down 5.67 percent to 14.01 billion U.S. dollars.

Indonesia's trade balance posted a surplus of 163.9 billion dollars in October, according to the bureau.

The import of raw materials edged down to 11.168 billion dollars in November year-on-year from 12.871 billion dollars in the same period last year, according to data from the bureau.

The shipment of capital goods ticked down to 2.505 billion dollars in November on a yearly basis from 2.597 billion dollars in November 2018, it said.

The global economic uncertainty has dragged down economic activities in Indonesia as export demands drifted down.
