S. Korean stocks open higher

SEOUL, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- South Korean stocks opened higher on Wednesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) added 3.69 points, or 0.15 percent, to trade at 2,542.84 in the first 20 minutes of trading.

The local currency was quoted at 1,106.3 won versus the U.S. dollar, up 0.3 won from the previous close.
