Aussie dollar rebounds to previous levels

SYDNEY, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Australian dollar rebounded against the greenback on Wednesday, returning to its previous levels below 78 U.S. cents.

At 07:00 (AEST), the Australian dollar was buying 77.72 U.S. cents, up from 77.07 U.S. cents on Tuesday.

The U.S. dollar weakened following a corrective rally which saw the Aussie sink to its lowest level since January 5, bottoming at 76.69 U.S. cents on Tuesday.

At 09:30 (AEST), the local unit was buying 77.71 U.S. cents.
