Aussie dollar wobbles around mid 77 U.S. cents

SYDNEY, March 16 (Xinhua) -- The Australian dollar took rounds to around 77.50 U.S. cents on Tuesday morning ahead of the Reserve Bank of Australia's (RBA) latest meeting minutes.

At 07:00 (AEST), the Australian dollar was buying 77.59 U.S. cents, slightly higher from 77.58 U.S. cents on Monday.

"U.S. equities rallied into the close, reaching another record high," Westpac Bank economists said in a morning note.

"AUD/USD dipped as low as 0.7706 before recovering to 0.7755, flat on the day."

The minutes of RBA's March board meeting will be released on Tuesday to provide further insights into the latest rate decision.

At 09:00 (AEST), the local unit was buying 77.52 U.S. cents.
