The ministers, who met in Krakow in southern Poland, also discussed economic reconstruction in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic that has forced the countries to enact restrictions on business to curb infections.
"The security of all our countries is dependent on cooperation, especially in industries that have strategic value, such as the pharmaceutical industry," said Jaroslaw Gowin, Polish minister of economic development, labour and technology, calling the discussions "exceptionally fruitful."
Gowin, who also serves as the deputy prime minister, also voiced support for France's idea of a minimum tax rate for multinationals. "Taxes should be paid in a proper way, in the countries where the groups concerned carry out their activities," he said.
