NEW YORK, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks fell on Wednesday, weighed by weakness in the energy and the financials sectors.

U.S.-listed Chinese companies traded mostly lower with nine of the top 10 stocks by weight in the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index ending the day on a downbeat note.

On Tuesday, U.S. equities advanced with the tech-heavy Nasdaq closing up 120 points, bolstered by better-than-expected economic data.
