Malaysia's palm oil stocks climb 8.76 pct in June

KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia, the world's second-largest palm oil producer, saw its palm oil stocks climb in June amid an increase in production and a decrease in exports, official data showed Tuesday.

Malaysia's palm oil stocks rose 8.76 percent from the previous month to 1.66 million tonnes in June, according to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).

Crude palm oil production, meanwhile, grew 5.76 percent month on month to 1.55 million tonnes.

Palm oil exports, however, plunged 13.26 percent month on month to 1.19 million tonnes.
