Jordan's inflation rises 4.22 pct during Jan.-Nov.

AMMAN, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Jordan's Consumer Price Index (CPI) went up by 4.22 percent during the January-November period to reach 106.68 points, announced Jordanian Department of Statistics (DoS) on Tuesday.

The main contributors of the CPI increase were fuel and electricity at 24.66 percent, transport at 5.73 percent, rents at 2.38 percent, culture and entertainment at 9.50 percent, and vegetables at 6.57 percent, according to the DoS monthly report.

In November, the report showed an increase of 4.99 percent in inflation to hit 108.19 points, against 103.06 points during the same month of 2021. Fuel and electricity were the main drivers of the monthly increase.
